Description

Pair of sturdy gas struts/springs for the tailgate/window on the rear of all GTE’s.

Ball-joint on each end of the gas struts, with M8 threaded ends.

Once bolted in place, the ball joints are a quick-release type if removal is needed.

(I believe that the original Imperial (non-metric) thread-type for the SE5 & SE5a are no longer available anywhere new; your SE5 or SE5a will need the mounting holes tapping out to M8 – this is easy to do as the existing thread is close to M8 already.  New threaded ends may need shortening a little at the top mounting to avoid clashes with the rubber body-seal as the hatch shuts.)
